Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Two Cars in a Field by John Salt. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,678.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Salt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "School bus and red pick-up" in November 2012 with an auction result of SEK 1,000,000.00 (€ 115,372.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Cars in a Field von John Salt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.678,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Salt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "School bus and red pick-up" im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 1.000.000,00 (€ 115.372,79).
