Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Register could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Red Booths changed hands for USD 1,280.00 (€ 1,172.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Register achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Waiting Room For The Beyond, 1983 in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 119,062.50 (€ 102,844.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Register konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Red Booths für USD 1.280,00 (€ 1.172,16) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Register erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Waiting Room For The Beyond, 1983 im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 119.062,50 (€ 102.844,00).
