Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Red Booths by John Register. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,411.52). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Register achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Waiting Room For The Beyond, 1983 in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 119,062.50 (€ 102,844.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Red Booths von John Register zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.411,52) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Register erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Waiting Room For The Beyond, 1983 im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 119.062,50 (€ 102.844,00).
