Auction result well in line with expectations
The work John Graham (1881-1961) by John Graham was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Morning Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2016. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 47,267.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman with Dodecahedron in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,609,000.00 (€ 1,095,452.07).
