This artwork by John Fabian Carlson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2002. In the FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE auction, the work Sunlit Glen sold for USD 21,150.00 (€ 24,428.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Fabian Carlson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Forest Silence, which sold at auction in September 2009 for USD 80,500.00 (€ 55,023.92).

In der Auktion FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE wurde die Arbeit Sunlit Glen für USD 21.150,00 (€ 24.428,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Fabian Carlson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Forest Silence beobachtet, die im September 2009 für USD 80.500,00 (€ 55.023,92) versteigert wurde.
