In the FINE AMERICAN PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS AND SCULPTURE auction, the work Sunlit Glen sold for USD 21,150.00 (€ 24,428.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Fabian Carlson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Forest Silence, which sold at auction in September 2009 for USD 80,500.00 (€ 55,023.92).
