Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dismantling the old hulk by John Callow was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2007. The price achieved of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,059.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Callow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shipping At Anchor Off The Coast in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,590.45).
