In February 2005 Christies in London held the auction THE SIR RALPH AND LADY HALPERN COLLECTION, which included the work Ogwellen, and near Capel Curig, North Wales by John Brandon Smith. The price achieved of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 6,960.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00.
