Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A view of the falls with two figures by the pool by John Brandon Smith was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,772.92). Admittedly, works by John Brandon Smith have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A waterfall in a wooded river valley in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,602.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A view of the falls with two figures by the pool von John Brandon Smith kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.772,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Brandon Smith auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A waterfall in a wooded river valley im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.875,00 (€ 9.602,46).
