Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Near Capel Curig, Wales; and A Welsh waterfall by John Brandon Smith was sold in the British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings auction at Christies in London in March 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,226.50 (€ 4,829.78). Other works by John Brandon Smith have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 5,875.00 (€ 9,602.46) in November 2000 for the work A waterfall in a wooded river valley.
