In the European Noble and Private Collections auction, the work A 'trompe l'oeil' still life with a bird in a cage, a hunting horn, a bird whistle, and other hunting implements hanging on a wall sold for EUR 29,800.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johannes Leemans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Trompe L'Oeil Hunting Still Life With A Rifle, A Bird In A Cage, A Hunting Horn, A Bird-Whistle And Other Hunting Gear in May 2009 with an auction result of EUR 144,750.00.

In der Auktion European Noble and Private Collections wurde die Arbeit A 'trompe l'oeil' still life with a bird in a cage, a hunting horn, a bird whistle, and other hunting implements hanging on a wall für EUR 29.800,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00.
