Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Made in Holland, which included the work A trompe l'oeil still life with a bird in a cage, a bird whistle, hunting horns and other hunting implements hanging on a wall by Johannes Leemans. The price achieved of EUR 10,710.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Leemans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Trompe L'Oeil Hunting Still Life With A Rifle, A Bird In A Cage, A Hunting Horn, A Bird-Whistle And Other Hunting Gear in May 2009 with an auction result of EUR 144,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Made in Holland durch, in der auch die Arbeit A trompe l'oeil still life with a bird in a cage, a bird whistle, hunting horns and other hunting implements hanging on a wall von Johannes Leemans zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 10.710,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Leemans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Trompe L'Oeil Hunting Still Life With A Rifle, A Bird In A Cage, A Hunting Horn, A Bird-Whistle And Other Hunting Gear im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 144.750,00.
