Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two works: (i) Shadow No. 1467; (ii) Shadow No. 1468 by Jiro Takamatsu was sold in the 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 57,500.00 (€ 52,182.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jiro Takamatsu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shadow No. 1391 in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 538,000.00 (€ 508,602.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two works: (i) Shadow No. 1467; (ii) Shadow No. 1468 von Jiro Takamatsu wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion 20th C. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 57.500,00 (€ 52.182,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jiro Takamatsu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shadow No. 1391 im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 538.000,00 (€ 508.602,76).
