Upper estimate price exceeded by 68 %.
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Shadow Of Myself by Jiro Takamatsu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 269,805.49), 68% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jiro Takamatsu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Shadow No. 1391 sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of USD 538,000.00 (€ 508,602.76).

Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shadow Of Myself von Jiro Takamatsu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 269.805,49) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jiro Takamatsu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Shadow No. 1391 im November 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 538.000,00 (€ 508.602,76).
