Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Northwoods Lake by Jervis McEntee was sold in the American Art Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. It achieved a price of USD 7,040.00 (€ 6,495.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jervis McEntee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gathering Firewood in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 130,500.00 (€ 124,463.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Northwoods Lake von Jervis McEntee wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion American Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 7.040,00 (€ 6.495,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jervis McEntee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gathering Firewood im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 130.500,00 (€ 124.463,52).
