In the All That Is Glorious Around Us: Property from an Important American Collector auction, the work Eagle Cliff, Franconia, New Hampshire sold for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,536.73) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jervis McEntee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gathering Firewood in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 130,500.00 (€ 124,463.52).
