This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Jervis McEntee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gathering Firewood in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 130,500.00 (€ 124,463.52).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jervis McEntee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gathering Firewood im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 130.500,00 (€ 124.463,52).
