Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Under a Full Moon 12 1/8 x 10 in. (30.8 x 25.4 cm.) by Jervis McEntee was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 8,287.50 (€ 7,722.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jervis McEntee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gathering Firewood in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 130,500.00 (€ 124,463.52).

Die Arbeit Under a Full Moon 12 1/8 x 10 in. (30.8 x 25.4 cm.) von Jervis McEntee kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.287,50 (€ 7.722,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jervis McEntee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gathering Firewood im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 130.500,00 (€ 124.463,52).
