Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jeff Elrod could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day: An Online Auction auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,526.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Elrod achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Echo Painting (B/W) in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 218,500.00 (€ 308,082.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeff Elrod konnte im Mai 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day: An Online Auction wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.526,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeff Elrod erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Echo Painting (B/W) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 218.500,00 (€ 308.082,26).
