Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Double Dutch by Jeff Elrod for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,551.43). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War to Present at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jeff Elrod have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Echo Painting (B/W) in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 218,500.00 (€ 308,082.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Double Dutch von Jeff Elrod für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.551,43) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jeff Elrod auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Echo Painting (B/W) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 218.500,00 (€ 308.082,26).
