Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jeff Elrod could be acquired at Phillips in London in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Track 5 changed hands for GBP 13,860.00 (€ 16,146.75) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Elrod achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Echo Painting (B/W) in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 218,500.00 (€ 308,082.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeff Elrod konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Track 5 für GBP 13.860,00 (€ 16.146,75) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeff Elrod erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Echo Painting (B/W) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 218.500,00 (€ 308.082,26).
