This artwork by Jean Hugo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in March last year. In the Collection André Mourgues, Alexandre Iolas et ses artistes auction, the work Les bords de la Tamise sold for EUR 6,048.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Hugo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Métamorphoses in April 2012 with an auction result of EUR 69,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Hugo erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection André Mourgues, Alexandre Iolas et ses artistes wurde die Arbeit Les bords de la Tamise für EUR 6.048,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Hugo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Métamorphoses im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 69.400,00.
