Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jean Hugo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in March 2021. In the Collection Pierre Le-Tan, Session I auction, the work Deux footballeurs sold for EUR 18,900.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Hugo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Métamorphoses, which sold at auction in April 2012 for EUR 69,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Hugo erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Collection Pierre Le-Tan, Session I wurde die Arbeit Deux footballeurs für EUR 18.900,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Hugo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Métamorphoses beobachtet, die im April 2012 für EUR 69.400,00 versteigert wurde.
