The work Portrait Of Clarissa Spencer-Churchill, Later Eden, Countess Of Avon by Jean Hugo was worth GBP 9,450.00 (€ 11,009.15) to a buyer in October last year. This price was achieved in the auction Churchill to Eden: The Collection of the Earl and Countess of Avon at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Jean Hugo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Métamorphoses in April 2012 with an auction result of EUR 69,400.00.
