In April 2012 Christies in Paris held the auction Collection Victor Hugo, which included the work Les Métamorphoses by Jean Hugo. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 69,400.00 39% above the upper estimate. With this result, Les Métamorphoses is even the most expensive work of art by Jean Hugo that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2012 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Collection Victor Hugo durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les Métamorphoses von Jean Hugo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 69.400,00 und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Les Métamorphoses sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jean Hugo, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
