Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ten Works Depicting Landscapes, Seascapes And Scenes Of Paris by Jean Hugo was sold in the Churchill to Eden: The Collection of the Earl and Countess of Avon auction at Christies in London in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,807.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean Hugo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Métamorphoses in April 2012 with an auction result of EUR 69,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ten Works Depicting Landscapes, Seascapes And Scenes Of Paris von Jean Hugo wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Churchill to Eden: The Collection of the Earl and Countess of Avon bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.807,32) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Hugo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Métamorphoses im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 69.400,00.
