The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,368.85) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Frédéric Schnyder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work „Sonnenuntergang am Zugersee“ (58), which sold at auction in December 2021 for EUR 56,250.00.

Die Arbeit Lutschenbach von Jean-Frédéric Schnyder kam im März 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.368,85) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Frédéric Schnyder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit „Sonnenuntergang am Zugersee“ (58) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für EUR 56.250,00 versteigert wurde.
