Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (153, 120, 26, 213, 25, 96, 146, 137, 190, 266, 2) by Jane Hammond for USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,022.38). This price was achieved in the auction First OpenPost-War & Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jane Hammond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Malcolm Wright Vase With Dogwood, Ocotillo And Orioles in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,699.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (153, 120, 26, 213, 25, 96, 146, 137, 190, 266, 2) von Jane Hammond für USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.022,38) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First OpenPost-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jane Hammond erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Malcolm Wright Vase With Dogwood, Ocotillo And Orioles im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.699,32).
