Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Wonderfulness of Downtown by Jane Hammond was auctioned at Phillips in New York in June 2009. It achieved a price of USD 7,250.00 (€ 5,171.18), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jane Hammond - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Malcolm Wright Vase With Dogwood, Ocotillo And Orioles, which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,699.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Wonderfulness of Downtown von Jane Hammond kam im Juni 2009 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 7.250,00 (€ 5.171,18) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Für andere Arbeiten von Jane Hammond mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Malcolm Wright Vase With Dogwood, Ocotillo And Orioles beobachtet, die im März 2019 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.699,32) versteigert wurde.
