Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abrikozenbootje (little apricot boat) by Jan van Imschoot was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in October 2004. The price achieved of GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,579.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Jan van Imschoot have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vienna, The Hotel Room, March 1999 (From The "How To Sell Your Wife" Series) in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,605.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Abrikozenbootje (little apricot boat) von Jan van Imschoot wurde im Oktober 2004 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.792,50 (€ 2.579,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan van Imschoot auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vienna, The Hotel Room, March 1999 (From The "How To Sell Your Wife" Series) im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 13.605,44).
