The work Lettre à mon futur by Jan van Imschoot was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November last year. It achieved a price of EUR 10,080.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68 %. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan van Imschoot; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Vienna, The Hotel Room, March 1999 (From The "How To Sell Your Wife" Series) sold at auction in February 2007 with the realized price of USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,605.44).

Die Arbeit Lettre à mon futur von Jan van Imschoot kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 10.080,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68 %. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jan van Imschoot; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Vienna, The Hotel Room, March 1999 (From The "How To Sell Your Wife" Series) im Februar 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 13.605,44).
