Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Discoveries, which included the work A Social Drama by Jan van Imschoot. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,893.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Jan van Imschoot have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2007 the work Vienna, The Hotel Room, March 1999 (From The "How To Sell Your Wife" Series) was auctioned for USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,605.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Discoveries durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Social Drama von Jan van Imschoot zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.893,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Jan van Imschoot konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2007 die Arbeit Vienna, The Hotel Room, March 1999 (From The "How To Sell Your Wife" Series) für USD 18.000,00 (€ 13.605,44) versteigert.
