Upper estimate price exceeded by 43 %.
The work Dawn (Holl. 71) by Jan van de Velde II was sold in the Old Master Prints auction at Christies in London in July 2011. It achieved a price of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,147.65), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 43%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van de Velde II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Village On A Broad River With Two Horseman At A Gateway To The Left; And An Abbey By A River With A Group of Monks On A Track in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 355,200.00 (€ 515,214.25).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Village On A Broad River With Two Horseman At A Gateway To The Left; And An Abbey By A River With A Group of Monks On A Track im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 355.200,00 (€ 515.214,25).
