Admittedly, works by Jan van de Velde II have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Village On A Broad River With Two Horseman At A Gateway To The Left; And An Abbey By A River With A Group of Monks On A Track in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 355,200.00 (€ 515,214.25).
