Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work The Good Samaritan paying the Innkeeper by Jan van de Velde II. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,625.13). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van de Velde II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Village On A Broad River With Two Horseman At A Gateway To The Left; And An Abbey By A River With A Group of Monks On A Track in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 355,200.00 (€ 515,214.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Good Samaritan paying the Innkeeper von Jan van de Velde II zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.625,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van de Velde II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Village On A Broad River With Two Horseman At A Gateway To The Left; And An Abbey By A River With A Group of Monks On A Track im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 355.200,00 (€ 515.214,25).
