Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Portret Van Mevruow Stiphout Met Profiel Naar Links (Portrait Of Mrs Stiphout In Profile Looking Left) by Jan Toorop for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,019.93). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Toorop achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portret van mevrouw M.J. de Lange - Portrait of Mrs M.J. de Lange in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 818,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portret Van Mevruow Stiphout Met Profiel Naar Links (Portrait Of Mrs Stiphout In Profile Looking Left) von Jan Toorop für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.019,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Toorop erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portret van mevrouw M.J. de Lange - Portrait of Mrs M.J. de Lange im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 818.400,00.
