Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of Elisabeth Le Brun by Jan Toorop for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,658.84). This price was achieved in the auction British and European Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Toorop achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portret van mevrouw M.J. de Lange - Portrait of Mrs M.J. de Lange in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 818,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of Elisabeth Le Brun von Jan Toorop für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.658,84) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and European Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Toorop erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portret van mevrouw M.J. de Lange - Portrait of Mrs M.J. de Lange im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 818.400,00.
