Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2018 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Faith and Reward by Jan Toorop. It changed hands for a price of GBP 464,750.00 (€ 524,998.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Other works by Jan Toorop have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2005 the work Portret van mevrouw M.J. de Lange - Portrait of Mrs M.J. de Lange was auctioned for EUR 818,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Faith and Reward von Jan Toorop zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 464.750,00 (€ 524.998,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Jan Toorop konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2005 die Arbeit Portret van mevrouw M.J. de Lange - Portrait of Mrs M.J. de Lange für EUR 818.400,00 versteigert.
