Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Adolescent by Jan Lebenstein was sold in the Modern Discoveries auction at Sothebys in New York in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,160.00 (€ 18,173.62). Admittedly, works by Jan Lebenstein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figure Xviii in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 87,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Adolescent von Jan Lebenstein wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Discoveries bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 20.160,00 (€ 18.173,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Lebenstein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figure Xviii im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 87.500,00.
