This work without title by Jan Lebenstein was sold in the Post-War, Contemporary and Latin American Art Online auction at Bonhams in New York in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,448.12), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Lebenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure Xviii in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 87,500.00.

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jan Lebenstein wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War, Contemporary and Latin American Art Online bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.448,12) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Lebenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure Xviii im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 87.500,00.
