Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Form by Jan Lebenstein was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. The price achieved of USD 2,520.00 (€ 2,226.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Lebenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure Xviii in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 87,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Form von Jan Lebenstein kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.520,00 (€ 2.226,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Lebenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure Xviii im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 87.500,00.
