Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Sea and Land (Two Works) by Jan Dibbets for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,123.13). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Edition at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Dibbets achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shutterspeed Piece - Konrad Fisher's Gallery I in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 68,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sea and Land (Two Works) von Jan Dibbets für GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.123,13) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Edition bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Dibbets erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shutterspeed Piece - Konrad Fisher's Gallery I im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 68.750,00.
