The work Pills by James White was sold in the First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in London in July 2020. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,346.27) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James White achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Double Glass in May this year with an auction result of USD 40,640.00 (€ 38,145.30).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.346,27) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James White erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Double Glass im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.640,00 (€ 38.145,30).
