The work Microphone by James White was worth GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,115.07) to a buyer in March 2019. This price was achieved in the auction The George Michael Collection Online Auction at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by James White; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Double Glass sold at auction in May this year with the realized price of USD 40,640.00 (€ 38,145.30).
