Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Relationships VII by James White was auctioned at Phillips in London in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 11,430.00 (€ 13,335.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James White - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Double Glass, which sold at auction in May this year for USD 40,640.00 (€ 38,145.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Relationships VII von James White kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.430,00 (€ 13.335,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von James White mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Double Glass beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 40.640,00 (€ 38.145,30) versteigert wurde.
