The work Shadowed bowl in grey by James Turrell was sold in the NOW! auction at Sothebys in Paris in March 2021. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 11,340.00 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Turrell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orca, Blue-Red in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 302,400.00 (€ 335,789.40).

Die Arbeit Shadowed bowl in grey von James Turrell wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion NOW! bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 11.340,00 und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Turrell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orca, Blue-Red im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 302.400,00 (€ 335.789,40).
