Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Carnival by Jacques Lipchitz was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper and Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,760.00 (€ 30,528.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Lipchitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure in November last year with an auction result of USD 4,380,000.00 (€ 4,242,952.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Carnival von Jacques Lipchitz wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper and Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.760,00 (€ 30.528,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Lipchitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.380.000,00 (€ 4.242.952,63).
