Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Sketch for Our Tree of Life VIII by Jacques Lipchitz. The »bidding war« ended at USD 21,420.00 (€ 20,105.12), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Lipchitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure in November last year with an auction result of USD 4,380,000.00 (€ 4,242,952.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sketch for Our Tree of Life VIII von Jacques Lipchitz zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 21.420,00 (€ 20.105,12) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Lipchitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.380.000,00 (€ 4.242.952,63).
