etching and engraving, watermark Four Ewers within a Circle, countermark Bloys (cf. Heawoood 3262, Paris 1694), a fine impression of the fifth (final) state, with the Latin text in the lower margin and the revisions to the Virgin's head and elsewhere, with thread margins outside the engraved border, small made-up losses to the back of the rider at left, short repaired tears and flattened creases on the reverse, lesser defects

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Adoration of the Magi (Walch 20; Worthen-Reed 31) by Jacques Bellange was sold in the Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints auction at Christies in London in September 2006. The price achieved of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,391.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques Bellange - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Martyrdom Of Saint Andrew, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 34,686.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Adoration of the Magi (Walch 20; Worthen-Reed 31) von Jacques Bellange wurde im September 2006 in der Auktion Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.391,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacques Bellange mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Martyrdom Of Saint Andrew beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 34.686,15) versteigert wurde.
