A top price for Jacques Bellange - as previously expected
In July 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work Martyrdom Of Saint Andrew by Jacques Bellange. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 34,686.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Martyrdom Of Saint Andrew is the most expensive artwork by Jacques Bellange that we have observed at auctions so far.
