It achieved a price of USD 300,000.00 (€ 269,082.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacqueline Humphries - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 687,500.00 (€ 609,107.82).

Die Arbeit The Mirror and the Mask von Jacqueline Humphries kam im Mai 2019 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 269.082,43) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacqueline Humphries mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 687.500,00 (€ 609.107,82) versteigert wurde.
